One of six Commonwealth war cemeteries on the island, kept to the same quiet standard as the others, a short detour from Uppuveli.

A Commonwealth war cemetery on the Nilaveli road north of Trincomalee, laid out in 1948, with 303 graves of British Empire personnel who died in the Second World War alongside Dutch, French, Italian and other allied dead. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission owns it and the Sri Lankan Ministry of Defence maintains it.
