A gated bay with flat, shallow water from May to October; bring a passport or ID card for the checkpoint.

A sheltered crescent of about 500 metres on the China Bay side south of Trincomalee, opened as a Sri Lanka Air Force resort in March 2011 with cabanas in the jungle behind the sand. Every adult shows ID at the gate and pays a small entry charge; changing rooms and showers are inside.
