A road-trip stop rather than a destination: pull over for the view down the lagoon, 20 km south of Trincomalee.

A 396-metre two-lane bridge across the lagoon between Koddiyar and Tambalagam bays, on the road south from Trincomalee towards Mutur, opened in October 2009 with Saudi Arabian funding. It is the longest bridge in Sri Lanka, taking the title from the Manampitiya bridge.
