A 20-day annual festival in a village temple that follows Kataragama's rites, in a lagoon-side village 30 km south of Batticaloa town.
A Murugan temple in the Tamil village of Mandur in southern Batticaloa District, known as sinna Kathirkamam, little Kataragama, and one of the seven Thiruppadai temples of the region. As at Kataragama the priest performs the pooja in silence behind a screen, and the contents of the sanctum are kept secret.
