A white stupa on bare rock with a sanctuary of forest around it, 5 km from Ampara town.

A forest monastery on an outcrop of five large rocks in the jungle north of Ampara, with a lineage traced to the Digamadulla period around the 4th century BCE. Kalinga Magha's armies destroyed it in the 12th century and the jungle took it back until a young monk revived it in 1964; a dozen monks live there now.
