Dozens of knee-high grey stupas in a palmyra grove — a Buddhist site in the heart of the Tamil north.

A cluster of small coral-stone stupas at Kandarodai near Chunnakam, on the Jaffna peninsula. Excavations date the site to around the 2nd century BCE, making it one of the peninsula's main Buddhist archaeological sites.
