Hand-cut reef pools you can sit in at low tide, on a beach quieter than its neighbours.
A village beach about 10 km east of Galle known for rectangular pools carved into the coral reef more than 50 years ago, visible at low tide. The sea can be rough for part of the year and sea urchins live among the rocks, so sturdy footwear matters more here than a swimsuit.
