Two pilgrimage sites on the same small island — the Buddhist Nagadeepa Vihara and the Hindu Naga Pooshani Amman Kovil. Reached by ferry from Kurikadduwan jetty, west of Jaffna.

Nainativu is a small island in the Palk Bay, off the southwestern end of the Jaffna peninsula, reached by a short ferry from Kurikadduwan jetty on Punkudutivu. The island holds two important pilgrimage sites side by side — the Buddhist Nagadeepa Purana Viharaya and the Hindu Naga Pooshani Amman Kovil — visited by both communities throughout the year.
