The upper pools sit at the lip of the 220-meter drop — one of the few places on the island where you can swim above a major waterfall.

Diyaluma Falls drops 220 meters off the Koslanda plateau, the second-highest waterfall in Sri Lanka. The full height is visible from the Koslanda–Wellawaya road, and a separate trail climbs to the natural pools of the upper tier, known locally as Kuda Diyaluma or Kuda Ella.
