Two Lakes Behind the Coast

“Often called Sri Lanka's largest natural lake system — and the Ceylon Motor Yacht Club has sailed it since 1936.

Two connected natural lakes with about 16 square kilometers of open water, beginning at Moratuwa's southern edge and draining to the sea at Panadura. Bird surveys here have recorded around 97 resident and migrant species.
