A 360-degree view from the top and a heritage park with war and ecosystem exhibits at the bottom; go with a local guide and allow a full day.

A rock rising about 530 metres from thick jungle northwest of Batticaloa, called Kudumbimalai in Tamil and Baron's Cap by the British, and the LTTE's last eastern stronghold until the army took it in July 2007. The climb is a steady walk, then a steep face with an army ladder, to a summit with the remnants of a small dagaba.
