A bay long enough to walk for twenty minutes without leaving the sand, with swimming rather than surf as the point.

A curving bay about a kilometre from end to end between Matara and Dickwella, backed by palms, with fishing boats and a few surf camps on the sand. The surf here is weak, so the camps drive guests 20 to 30 minutes to the points at Hiriketiya or the Madiha reefs.
