The finest surviving vatadage in Sri Lanka — the circular shrine form that exists almost nowhere else.

A circular relic house in the Polonnaruwa Quadrangle, built to shelter a small stupa within concentric stone terraces. Four Buddha statues face its four entrances, each approached by a carved moonstone step.
