The walk crosses Pitawala Patana's open mini–World's End plateau before the jungle even starts.
Pitawala Pathana Ella drops about 75 meters in the Knuckles range, beyond the Pitawala Patana grassland and the abandoned Pathana Gama village. It is rarely visited, and a local guide is the sensible way in.
