Two Rights by a Ruined Lighthouse
Lighthouse Point — 21 km north of Arugam Bay
Photo coming soon
A reef wave and a beginner wave side by side, far enough from Arugam Bay that lineups stay small.
The most northerly of the Arugam Bay breaks, about 45 minutes by tuk-tuk, beside the village and lagoon of Komari. Two right-handers run off the reefs by the 1947 Sangamankanda Point lighthouse, which the 2004 tsunami left as a stump: one over reef for experienced surfers, one over boulders and sand for beginners.
