A rocky beach at Kirinda, a Malay-founded village south of Tissamaharama, overlooked by the Kirinda Viharaya on its hill. Legend says Princess Viharamahadevi came ashore here after being set adrift; today it is the nearest village to the Great Basses reef and a short drive from Yala.
