The Batticaloa Lighthouse

“The tower has marked the lagoon mouth since 1913 and is still a working light.

A 1913 lighthouse at the mouth of the Batticaloa lagoon, about 4 km north of town. The 28-metre tower stands beside a sheltered lagoon-mouth beach used by local families.
