Dolphin pods of over a thousand animals offshore, with boats leaving from this beach in season.
A stretch of ocean beach on the west side of the Kalpitiya peninsula, reached over a high dune from a strip of beach hotels, and the departure point for dolphin and whale-watching boats. Large dolphin pods are offshore most of the year; boats run from November to April.
