The quieter twin of Goyambokka, with the same granite rocks and a hotel rather than a row of eateries behind it.
Godellawela Beach, known as Silent Beach, is the western of the two bays flanking the Goyambokka promontory west of Tangalle, shared with guests of the hotel behind it. Mornings are calm; by evening the waves pick up and can be dangerous for swimming.
