One of the few named falls on the island's dry eastern slope — waterfall country thins out fast past Badulla.
Peessa Ella is a 45-meter fall near Lunugala in the eastern Badulla district. Steps lead down from a double hairpin bend on the Peessagama road, about 5 km off the A5 between Passara and Lunugala.
