The Caves Behind the Waterfall

Pannila Cave — 5 km from Rakwana

One of the few Sri Lankan caves toured along the streambed that formed it.

A calcareous cave system near Rakwana, entered along a stream route that passes a waterfall of about 15 metres. Beyond the first cave, smaller chambers lead to a main passage around 500 metres long, and trips run with a guide.
