The road runs straight across the fall's rock bed — you can stop the car on the waterfall.
Mahakandura Falls drops about 120 meters in stages near Hanguranketha, and the Kandy–Rikillagaskada–Walapane road crosses the fall itself at a hairpin bend between the 25th and 26th mile posts.
