The steepest earn of the Wewalwatte cluster — Alupola and Demala Ella sit on the same circular road.
Madanagiri Falls — also called Mohini Ella — drops about 68 meters near Wewalwatte, east of Ratnapura. The footpath from the Ratnapura–Wewalwatte road involves a difficult climb, and a mini-hydro plant has reduced the flow.
